Dear Glass Dining Room Table

Dear Glass Dining Room Table,

You used to be the pride and joy of our dining area. We would adorn you with a beautiful decorative runner and an eye catching center-piece. When the friends would come over we would get out the nice plates and napkins. Every week we would gently dust your surface with a feather duster and monthly, or as the occasion called for it, we would wipe down your glass surface, bringing out your beautiful shine. There you would sit as we walked into our home after a long day, so clean and sturdy, a calm reminder of the serenity and peace of our home. Then we had kids and now you, like many other surfaces in our home, are for collecting all of the things. I miss your shine, and I look forward to your annual cleaning when I will get to see a fleeting glimpse of it once again. Thank you for your service.

Sincerely,
Your owner

Floor art in permanent marker

Floor art in permanent marker

Well, it looks like someone found the hidden stash of permanent markers and drew a pretty little picture. On the carpet. Even though he had 55 sheets of drawing paper that were blank. So floor art joins door art and wall art and table art and face and body art in the Toalson home. They may not get to go to college, because their parents used all their college savings money to fix all the destruction around the house, but, hey, at least they enjoyed artful expression when they were kids. That counts for something, right?
